Mike Snider
For Kansas State House, District 87
Mike Snider is running for Kansas State House, District 87. He’s running to create a Kansas that our children and grandchildren will be proud to call home.
He understands that to get there, we need to address the changes needed to help everyday hard working Kansans.
A retired attorney, Mike will bring a much needed perspective to Topeka.
Vision and Issues
Mike wants to create a Kansas that future generations will cherish as their home. Like many people, his grown-up children moved away from Kansas to states they felt were more welcoming and had greater opportunity.
For Kansas to thrive in the long term Mike wants to create a community that is welcoming, full of opportunity, and represented by a state government that listens to its residents.
Reproductive Healthcare. Mike will protect reproductive healthcare access. It is a right protected in the state constitution. Government should stay out of the personal and private decision about reproductive healthcare.
Medicaid Expansion. Mike will champion Medicaid expansion. Getting hard working Kansans access to healthcare will create a healthier workforce and lower costs written off by hospitals for emergency, uncompensated care visits.
Public Education. Mike will defend our public schools. Fully funded schools (including special education) will allow school districts to offer competitive salaries and benefits to recruit and retain professional educators.
